Guidelines
The OIT project management guidelines are largely drawn from best practices and proven guidelines utilized by institutions and companies globally. The purpose of implementing these guidelines is to improve project results through a uniform application of project management best practices appropriately tailored for the Office of Information Technology. The Project Management Office Guidelines document outlines the roles, responsibilities and processes that all units within OIT are to use for managing technical projects.

Enterprise Project Management Tool (IT Business Management)
OIT Project Managers use IT Business Management for project and portfolio management. IT Business Management, or ITBM, is a robust portfolio and project management solution that is part of the ServiceNow Platform; Georgia Tech's enterprise service management solution (services.gatech.edu). ITBM allows users to manage agile, hybrid, or waterfall projects from inception to completion. It also allows leaders, program managers, portfolio managers, and project managers to capture ideas for new projects from the students, faculty, and staff across the Institute. ITBM replaces Workfront, our previous enterprise project management tool.
